Antenna system for satellite communication powerful subscriber's terminal station

Abstract

The most numerous elements of any satellite system or network are regional terminal stations. As a component of the station, antenna system cost constitutes 30-35% of the whole station price.

To reduce the cost of mentioned system Ternopil design office "Promin" has worked out a technical documentation and produced an experimental batch of antenna systems with reflector diameter of 3.66 m. The experimental batch was made of rolled light-gage steel by means of welding on a special jig using the method "from generator". Reflector diameter was calculated in compliance with power, design and technology requirements.
