The antennas transforming surface waves into space ones represent the independent class of antennas more and more widely used in the engineering of millimeter (mm) waves [1]. As a source of slow surface waves these dielectric waveguides of various cross-sections types: ridged, elliptical, planar, rectangular ones etc are used. Surface waves are transformed into space ones with using periodically located scatterers such as grooves or apertures of various cross section in metallic substrate, wire scatterers, etc. An opportunity of the simple adjustment of these antennas by a change of the distance between the dielectric waveguide surface and scatterers along the direction of surface electromagnetic wave propagation was experimentally established.References
