Abstract

The vertically polarized antenna for broadcasting in the UHF range has been developed by the authors. The coaxial resonator with the annular slot in the external cylindrical conductors is the radiating element of the antenna. Characteristic radiator cross sizes account 0.1-0.2 and the width of the slot is no more than 0.02 of a wave-length. To reduce both the weight of antenna and the wind resistance, metallic spikes parallel to the axis are used when manufacturing the coaxial resonator external surface.
