Electromagnetic field of dipole antenna in multilayered medium with losses

Abstract

In the paper a numerical investigation of near-field of dipole antenna in multilayered structure is carried out. Electromagnetic field distribution and wave decay rate in multilayered medium is investigated for different medium types. A contribution of surface waves with comparison of contribution of body waves in antenna's field is estimated. Asymptotic expression of radiation pattern (RP) in multilayered medium of dipole antenna is obtained. A case of medium containing a layer with continuous changing of parameters is also considered.
