Physical properties of transversal slot radiators in a rectangular waveguide with a dielectric layer parallel to its broad walls were studied. It has been shown that it is possible to slow down effectively the waveguide wave and to control the level of power radiated and reflected by the slot choosing in a proper way the thickness of the dielectric layer and its permittivity.References
